Who is the Fusion Gate intended for?

Our gate is for all dog breeds and sizes and intended for use with children six months through 24 months. This product is not to be used with a child able to climb over or dislodge/open the gate. 

How much space is between each slat?
There is less than 2" between each slat. However, depending on your gate size and the width of your opening, the space between the end of the gate and your wall may vary from 1.5" to 3.5". Our designers can help you fit this opening to meet your needs. Contact us for more details. 

Does installation require more than one person?  In most cases installation can be completed by one person. However, a two person installation would be optimal particularly when installing gates with more than one extension on either side.

Will your safety gate be able to contain my smaller than average dog?
We have been very successful coming up with solutions for our customers that have asked this very question! Contact us directly and we can develop a custom solution for you and your children or pets.

Will your dog gate be able to contain my large dog?
Our pet gates are 36" tall and are constructed of a tough, all-metal frame that is reinforced with a durable hinge and latch system. The art screen panels are made of shatter-resistant polycarbonate materials and the gate can be hardware mounted for extra sturdy installation.

Will your dog & baby gate be able to contain my cat?
The Fusion Gate is NOT designed to contain cats. However, we can create a custom solution to allow your cat to pass through the bottom of your gate if that is your preference. Please contact us directly so we can create a custom solution that might work for you. 

Can your pet gate also be used as a baby gate?
Yes! The Fusion Gate is designed and built according to ASTM safety standards and meets and exceeds standards set by JPMA for gate enclosures. When installing the gate at the top of your stairs, we highly recommend installing with the hardware mounts. 

Can your safety gate be installed safely at the top of my stairs?
Yes! The Fusion Gate can be installed at the top of your stairs using our hardware kit. Details are listed in the installation guide. Please note that we always recommend using hardware for top of the stairs gate installations.

I've noticed your safety gate has a door. Can it be locked to keep my baby safe? 
Yes, there is a lock at the top of the gate that will keep the door from opening if you so choose. The lock can be removed and then reversed so that the lock side is on the opposite side of your child.

What is the walk-thru width of the gate door? 
The walk-thru width is 21"...one of the widest gate door widths of all pressure mounted gates on the market. 

Are your pet gates available for wholesale purchase?
Currently, we do offer our Fusion Gates for wholesale in a dropship capacity. Please contact us at 618.650.9170 for more details.  

Do you ship the safety gates internationally?
We currently ship gates to the continental United States.

What is your return policy?

We are so excited that you are a recipient of one of our Fusion Gate products and have the full confidence that you will truly enjoy the ease and artistic style of our designer pet gate. However, we know that you may also have questions regarding installation and usage that we can assist you with prior to returning your product. Please contact us at customerservice@fusiongates.com right away and let us help you with any questions that you may have prior to returning your product(s).

You may return items within 30 days of purchase if not 100% satisfied.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition in which it was received, contain all original components and in the original packaging.

How are refunds handled?
Your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 10 days.

Can I exchange my pet gate or screen?
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at customerservice@fusiongates.com. We will send a return invoice and shipping label for you to drop the package at your nearest FedEx location. Refer to the FedEx website to find a location nearest you. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

How does shipping work if I am returning an item?
If you are not satisfied with your product, you should mail your product to 2412 Little Round Top Drive, Edwardsville, Illinois US 62025. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a refund is issued to you and postage wasn’t paid, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Warranty
Your Fusion Gate is under a one-year warranty from the date of its original purchase when used in homes, installed and used according to manufacturer’s instructions. When used commercially, such as daycare/boarding facilities, the warranty is 90 days.

Fusion Gates will either repair or replace, at our discretion, any parts necessary to correct defects in material or workmanship during the warranty period. The warranty excludes wear and tear and/or damage.

Troubleshooting

My screen is NOT in my door. I think I was sent the wrong screen!
The screen included in your gate upon opening is the Fusion Gates temporary logo screen. Your beautiful new art screen design is in a Fusion Gates envelope that can be located between your inner and outer boxes. Instructions for changing the screens can be found in the Instruction Manual that is in your shipment in a white Fusion Gates envelope. You can also learn how in the videos on our How It Works page.

My gate appears to be bent on one side?  

When our gates arrive, the latch side of the gate will appear to be bent.  It is actually the threshold that is bent.  This is purposely designed to create the tension necessary to keep the gate in place.  Once properly installed according to the instructions all sides will be upright and straight. 

Why do my gate hinges creak/squeak?

Occasionally the inner spring of the door hinges cause friction within the hinge and a creek or squeaking noise will happen.  For a quick fix simply apply WD40 white lithium grease spray to the top of both hinge screws. Gently swing the door back and forth the work in the lubricant.  It is not necessary to remove the hinge. One of our customers also suggests CRC 5037.  You can get both of these sprays on Amazon.  If the problem persists, call us at 618-650-9170 and we can replace the hinge if necessary. 

My gate makes noise when the door closes. Is that normal?

Yes, that sound is normal! Fusion Gates were intentionally designed with an audible cue. This allows you to know your door is securely closed behind you when you walk through while holding your baby, dog, laundry basket and more.
